Synthesis of Aryl Thiourea Derivatives

Abstract

|
|
The six new aryl thiourea derivatives of d-2-amino-butanol were synthesized. Arylisothiocyanates were prepared by treatment of carbon disulfide, ammonia and aromatic amines. The resulting arylisothiocyanates reacted with d-2-amino-1-butanol to yield the aryl thioureas.
